Peter Sparkes, Acting General Manager

Peter's background has been primarily in Natural Resource Management within the public service since 1980, with a range of experience across middle management within the NSW Soil Conservation Service, Department of Conservation and Land Management, Department of Land and Water Conservation and Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources. Peter also spent six years in the private sector in business management roles. Peter has a Diploma of Applied Science (Agriculture) and has experience in broadacre agriculture and the management of a range of extension programs. 

Deborah Bate, Program Manager

Deb comes to the Lachlan CMA with a wide range of experience throughout western NSW. She holds qualifications in Natural Resource Management and adult education and has been involved in native vegetation, rangelands and vertebrate pest management, land use planning and emergency response. She has contributed over 20 years volunteering with the State Emergency Service, supporting the community in floods and other times of need.
