The Lachlan CMA operates under a four program themes. These are;

• Biodiversity & Native Vegetation

Aim: "To enhance and conserve the natural ecological processes, and the abundance and diversity of native species found."  

• Land Management

Aim: "Improve the health of the soil resource to support natural ecosystems and productive agriculture in the Lachlan Catchment."

• Water & Aquatic Ecosystems

Aim: "Water resources that meet community and environmental needs in terms of quality and quantity."

• People & Community

Aim: "To support the Lachlan community to work towards NRM, economic sustainability and social wellbeing."
