The Lachlan CMA held its 2012 Science Forum on the 14th and 15th August in Forbes.
The two day event drew a large crowd of approximately 100 people and was well attended with an even mix of local government representatives, land managers and researchers.
The theme for the forum "Soaking up Science" had a diverse program with an area of interest for everyone with guest speakers and sessions covering the themes of biodiversity, community, land and water.
David Marsh, Director of the Lachlan CMA guided the audience through the opening interactive session on what Soaking up Science meant to them.
Participants of the Forum had the opportunity to play a part in the interactive, fun and tasty Carp recipe compeition with a twist "If you can't beat em - eat em" with celebrity chef Iain Hewitson entertaining the crowd while local ladies Rosanne & Rohini prepared their carp recipes in the cook-off on Tuesday evening.
Congratulations to Rosanne Jones of Parkes the overall winner of the Carp recipe competition.
