The Lachlan CMA is currently developing a project titled "Habitat On Farms". This project has 3 key components;
-
Expert habitat assessments for recognised conservation land managers,
-
Increase awareness of paddock tree values (biodiversity, production and cultural),
-
Provide some assistance for re vegetation.
The Lachlan CMA is calling for Expressions of Interest from landholders who are managing their properties for production and conservation and would be interested in having an expert come to their farm and carry out an assessment on one of the following;
- Aboriginal cultural values,
- Reptile habitat,
- Bird and connectivity habitat,
- Flora conservation values,
- Mammal and marsupial habitat.
If so, you may be eligible for funding opportunities to conserve these values. For more information or an expression of interest form please contact Mike Chambers at the Lachlan CMA via email at mike.chambers@cma.nsw.gov.au.
