Lachlan CMA Water Quality School Excursion

The Water Quality excursion run by the Lachlan CMA, involved a full, hands on day learning about the importance of water quality in the Lachlan Catchment. With 41 students and 2 teachers from St. Raphaels School of Cowra, everyone boarded the bus and headed out to meet with Tim Long from Cowra Shire Council who spoke about the Gross Pollutant Trap. It was then off to the eastern bank of the Lachlan river for morning tea and after morning tea everyone set off again to the new Sewer Treatment Plant where they met with Peter Ford, also from Cowra Shire Council. Lunch was in the beautiful Europa Park and after a small rest it was back on the bus to the Water Watch on Waugoola Creek. Finally after a fun and informative day it was time to head back to school.

The Lachlan CMA would like to thank everyone for their involvement and contributions on the day.
