Biodiversity Resilient Landscapes

Creating community engagement to establish small clusters of paddock trees and develop biodiversity conservation plans to identify revegetation sites for future investments.

This project has two distinct components which will involve catchment wide community engagement to:

  1. Establish small clusters of paddock trees
  2. Develop biodiversity conservation plans across the whole of a property, to assist in identifying revegetation sites for future investment in the ‘Building Habitat Bridges’ project

The Biodiversity Resilient Landscapes Project will:

  • Provide expert habitat assessments for recognised conservation land managers
  • Plan habitat improvements that can be achieved within farming enterprises
  • Provide some assistance for revegetation and natural regeneration works to create stepping stones

Key Project Outcomes:

  • Increase awareness of paddock tree values (biodiversity, production, cultural)
  • Increase number of paddock trees within catchment, particularly for connectivity
  • Increase landholder knowledge of their biodiversity assets and management actions
