This production was developed to inform the community of the innovative and interactive way that the Lachlan Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is using to promote NRM along the Lachlan River. The canoe tours provide educational organisations an opportunity to learn how rivers were created and land use has affected the natural processes while experiencing the beauty of the Lachlan River and the surrounding landscape first hand.
Educational organisations will be educated on the way that beliefs and practices influence how people interact with the environment, with particular focus on Indigenous cultural heritage and rural production along the way.
Throughout the duration of the tour educational organisations will investigate aquatic ecosystems and riparian management practices to identify the natural and human factors that have and continue to shape the environment.
The highly trained Lachlan CMA staff deliver this exciting and inspiring hands-on learning experience for educational organisations which is enjoyable while remaining focused on meeting predetermined organisation requirements.
As the tours are conducted in two person canoes with traditional camp outs on the banks of the river, the experience also doubles as an excellent Team Building exercise.
All risk and occupational, health and safety assessments are implemented with up to date safety equipment provided to ensure your tour is both safe and productive.
